Twin Cities Caregiver Helps Client in Wayzata, MN
One Seniors’ Choice at Home Care giver helps a 90+ year old Client 2 days each week for 7 hours. This Client lives in a lovely condo in the same community as the Care Giver. The Client does not drive anymore because of significant visual impairment. The Care Giver says that because of the Client’s interests, she has visited an Art Gallery and an Arboretum that she probably would never have taken the opportunity to enjoy. The Client recommends books they both read, and then they have interesting discussions about them. Frequently, the Care Giver, an accomplished cook, makes a special brunch for the Client and the Client’s daughter and granddaugter.
The Care Giver’s life away from her Client is filled with family “busy-ness.” She is a mother of grown children and a very accommodating grandmother. She says that some days, her time with her client is like a refreshing retreat. The Caregiver has worked with this Client for more than a year. She had been with her a very short time, when the Care Giver told me that her Client had asked her to call her “Mom”.
