Marilyn Christenson, the author of this web log is a graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota. She also completed a Simmons Graduate School of Management Intensive Business Administration Program, Boston as a Bush Leadership Fellow. Marilyn brings more than 25 years of experience working in the field of elder care to her her work with seniors and their families. Her background includes education, program development, social work, marketing, consulting and administration. She brings extensive experience in healthcare including development and administration of special care units. She has been an educator and consultant for the Alzheimer’s Association and currently is Director of Client Relations for Seniors’ Choice at Home, a non-medical home care service. Marilyn states that her most important learning about elder care came from the 6 years she cared for her mom in her home. Her mother died at age 94 of complications related to Alzheimer’s disease.
